sarah's house: season 3 (the farmhouse)

I finally found a place where I can access pictures of Sarah Richardson's renovation of a farmhouse.  I love, love, love this renovation.  It especially rang true, because as I would catch episodes of the show on HGTV, I was working on renovating a farmhouse of my own (I use that term loosely).

Also, I am even more excited to show this to you, because after perusing houzz.com for countless hours, I have realized that I love Sarah's designs even more than before.  (I have actually bookmarked a few of them that are on the website, without even realizing they were by Sarah!) Anyway, I think Sarah does a great job of making a traditional farmhouse design look slightly eclectic and therefore wayyy more interesting than straight traditional design would be.

I love the red doors, the mix of prints, and the wallpaper in the powder room.  And that light fixture! Awesome.  Oh, and I love the doorknobs.  Sarah thinks of EVERYTHING.

This one is more on the traditional side, but I still how she repurposed the dressers as sinks. 

I don't know if I could ever mix and match colors, patterns, and textures like Sarah.  I guess that's why she's the professional and I'm not.

This room feels cozy and open at the same time.  I love the chandelier/pendant light.

These stairs are so awesomely playful.  I want to do this with the back staircase at my grandmother's house.  I'll take a picture to show you what I mean.
