Happy First of September! It certainly doesn't feel like September up here. It's already in the 80s and is expected to reach the mid-90s today. I'm hoping to swim in the ocean today. It's something on my list of things to do this summer and I haven't had the chance yet.
Also, Dan and I are officially heading to NYC and Boston next week/weekend! We figured it will be a bit slower in B&B world and we should get a trip in while we can. Dan has only ever been to NYC once before and only for 24 hours at that. Aside from visiting friends and family (and trying our darndest to find the Cash Cab), does anyone have a recommendation of things for Dan (and me) to see? Preferably inexpensive things?
Go eat at Katz's Deli at the corner of Houston and Ludlow (lower east side). It's over 125 years old and serves the best, giant sandwiches!
ReplyDeleteGo to get the most amazing foot rub and/or back rub(they do the rub with your clothes on)at "The best Chinese Qi Gong" it's located at 145 Grand (just off Broadway - close to Little Italy). It's a perfect thing to do after walking all day.
Go to Greenwich Village and have the most incredible Mojito in the world at "Cuba" - 222 Thompson st. (between Bleeker and West 3rd). Make sure you walk up and down MacDougal Street in Greenwich.
Walk through the chaos of Canal Street(East of Broadway) for knock-off purses, scarves and watches. While you're down there, walk through Chinatown and especially Little Italy (Mulberry Street)
Have lots of fun!
Yay! Thanks for the ideas Laura! I am sooooo excited to go!
